Chapter 1120 — Proving the Dao Through the Saber

The Herdsman of the Wasteland Page 2 of 2

Zai Fu lifted his hand, drew his saber, and swept it forward.

Clink.

His saber met Shen Mu's falling blade. The two divine sabers collided and each came to a halt.

The energy stored in Shen Mu's strike dispersed like smoke in an instant, wholly dissolved by that one sweep. At the same moment, down in the Directorate Forges, countless divine sabers clattered to the ground; the divine light withdrew, and no strange portents arose.

In the sky, Shen Mu stepped back, reversed his grip upon the saber, and bowed deeply to Zai Fu.

Zai Fu turned his saber about, reversed his grip upon the hilt, cupped his hands in return, and praised him: "You have entered the Dao. My pains were not wasted. Stay here and consider well what name to give the first heaven of your saber Dao; I will go down first and drink!"

Shen Mu nodded.

Zai Fu dropped from the sky, and the instant he landed, he stumbled.

The Blind Elder said with gloating relish, "How are your wounds?"

Zai Fu glared at him, snatched up Dragon Qilin, his gaze unfriendly: "Where is the dragon saliva? Bring it out at once to heal my wounds!"
