The goddess Taisu looked at Hao Tianzun and saw that in so short a time he had awakened from her wondrous Dao-rhyme. She could not help showing approval: "Hao, son of Taichu, truly has uncommon ability. Hao, you are gravely wounded now; by my art I could restore you to the state of thirty-five heavenly palaces within a hundred years, or I could grant you one palace more, and you would fully attain the Celestial Court."

Hao Tianzun bowed his head: "So it is Aunt Taisu. Aunt Taisu need only restore the nine palaces within me; as for the rest, I will find my own way."

The goddess Taisu watched him, her gaze flickering, yet she could not see the expression on his lowered face.

After a moment, the goddess Taisu smiled: "Good. I will restore your nine palaces. You may bow to me."

Hao Tianzun promptly knelt and knocked his head to the ground.
