Chapter 1360 — On the Eve of the Descent

That single palace completed the heavenly court. In one instant divine light burst forth, ten thousand paths sang in unison, the radiance blinding beyond measure!

Master Dan felt a stab of pain in both eyes, and in that instant he went blind. Panic filled his heart; then suddenly he felt himself swept up, flying out against his will.

"My eyes..." Master Dan's heart was in turmoil. Sensing Shen Mu's aura, he knew that Shen Mu had carried him off at the very first moment.

But his eyes were blind; he could see nothing of the world outside, only feel himself jolting without cease.

He too had cultivated the Mystic Art of Creation, though Master Dan's art was nothing exalted; ordinarily he used the Mystic Art of Creation to ripen spirit medicines, and at most to restore his own face.

He had never yet tried to restore his own eyes.

He urged the art to work, and gradually a little sight returned to his eyes. Dimly he saw that the vast palm reaching out from Youdu had broken at the bone — finger after finger, huge beyond measure, parting from the hand and flying up into the air.

He saw too the Yuanmu beneath Heavenly Venerable Yue's assault, its branches tossing, its twigs and leaves drifting down.

Master Dan turned his eyeballs with difficulty, and saw Heavenly Venerable You standing upon the shoulder of the divine artifact Heavenly Venerable Yu, battling Heavenly Venerable Xiao, falling back step by step.

An icy chill filled his heart: Heavenly Venerable Xiao's Grand Heavenly Court system was complete, and so formidable.

Then his gaze found focus, and he saw Shen Mu standing before him — Shen Mu had dug the vertical eye from between his brows.

"Shen'er, what are you doing?" Master Dan spoke, but could not hear his own voice.

He only saw Shen Mu activate that vertical eye and send it aloft; with a swoosh it grew larger, the eyeball turned, revealing half of an enormous eggshell.

Shen Mu held the hairpin of Heavenly Venerable Ling, activated the Unchanging Divine Ability, and touched the hairpin to the back of the eggshell!

Heavenly Venerable Xiao had already gotten the upper hand over Heavenly Venerable You, and the divine artifact Heavenly Venerable Yu was about to charge into Youdu — when at that very moment the eggshell behind Shen Mu's eye blazed with light!

The Taichu eggshell floated up; from Shen Mu's vertical eye shot countless Taichu runes, and with a hum they branded themselves throughout the peach forest that spanned ten thousand li. The countless runes spun, and with a swoosh sank back into the pupil of Shen Mu's vertical eye.

The divine artifact Heavenly Venerable Yu crashed to the ground; the divine sense and mana within Heavenly Venerable Yu's body howled away, drawn into that eyeball!

Heavenly Venerable Xiao too was lifted off his feet, flying helplessly toward the vertical eye!

"Taichu, anger me, and I will beat you back to the state you were in before you were born!" Shen Mu roared.
