Chapter 1373 — A Game of Mutual Destruction

This deterrent of Heavenly Venerable You's was truly too vicious; it had seized him by his sore spot.

"You, one day you will regret what you have done today!

" In the peach grove, Shen Mu let out a long breath.

The situation was, for the moment, fairly stable; his plan to display his strength had been carried out, and it rested wholly upon the support of these allies.

Of course, it also depended on Heavenly Venerable You going to inform the White Tiger Emperor of the West, the Azure Dragon Emperor of the East and the rest — and thanks were due above all to the White Tiger, Emperor of the West, that little sprite who feared nothing so much as a world at peace, who was the first to leap out and descend upon the Yuan World in a swirl of fire and fury.

Had the White Tiger, Emperor of the West, not descended first, those old slippery ones, the Azure Dragon Emperor of the East and the Black Tortoise Emperor of the North, would never have descended at all! And more crucial still was Lord of Heaven, that crafty old fox; with the Three Emperors of the Ancient Gods descending, Lord of Heaven had no choice but to descend as well.

"The situation can hold its balance for now. So long as we are assured that we and the Heavenly Court each have the power to destroy the other, the Heavenly Court will not move against the Yuan World for a while, and Taixu may keep its peace for a time.

For each day Heavenly Venerable Xiao is trapped in Chaotic Space, the balance will hold for a day — until he frees himself from that place.

" Shen Mu's eyes flickered.

His next goal was to rescue Heavenly Venerable Ling! He must get Heavenly Venerable Ling out before Heavenly Venerable Xiao escaped Chaotic Space! Once Heavenly Venerable Ling was rescued, even if Heavenly Venerable Xiao did escape Chaotic Space, it would matter little to the greater situation.

But before that, he needed to raise his own strength, to be certain that when he came to rescue Heavenly Venerable Ling he had the means to contend with the Great Emperor who commanded the Heavenly Emperor's fleshly body.

"Yue, might you teach me your Way of Space?

" In the palace, Shen Mu said with a smile to Heavenly Venerable Yue.
