Chapter 1406 — The Four Heavenly Gates

Around the West Heavenly Gate were mountains of glittering divine gold, golden qi pervading the air; the arrangement of the peaks was like a grand formation, and from their summits ten thousand strands of golden light shot into the West Heavenly Gate, forming within it the strange sight of countless golden lights interlacing. Shen Mu comprehended for more than twenty days within this gate as well, and only when his understanding was thorough did he step out from it.

Among his nineteen Heavenly Palaces, the four great Heavenly Gates had been recast; in the Ancestral Court too, the four great Heavenly Gates had been raised, and his cultivation was all the more profound.

Not only so, he also felt that his understanding of the Dao realm had advanced another step; he felt himself a step closer to the twenty-sixth heaven of the Dao realm, yet when he sought to enter the Dao once more, he still fell somewhat short.

"The four great Heavenly Gates, were they formed by nature, or are they relics of the previous epoch? " Shen Mu pondered a moment, shook his head, and returned to the Hundred Thousand Black Mountains of the Ancestral Court. He had just arrived when an envoy came forward, presented an invitation, and bowed, saying, "Heavenly Venerable Mu, the Ten Heavenly Venerables have jointly set their signatures, inviting the leader of the Heavenly Alliance, Heavenly Venerable Mu, to go to the Heavenly Alliance Hall of the Heavenly Court and preside over the council of the Heavenly Alliance!

" Shen Mu unfolded the invitation, and indeed saw the signatures of ten Heavenly Venerables, though the Heavenly Venerable Xiao's ought to be signed by his disciple in his stead.

"How many attend the Heavenly Alliance now?

" Shen Mu closed the invitation and asked. "Those attending: thirteen thousand," the envoy said.

"Besides the Heavenly Venerables, there are the various emperors, and the leaders of every realm among the myriad worlds of the heavens.

" Shen Mu's frame trembled slightly. The Heavenly Alliance he had founded had now become a colossus ruling the myriad worlds of the heavens! And now, he was going to overturn this colossus!
