He sped past the Spirit Embryo, Five Luminaries, Six Harmonies and other divine treasures, and after a long while he finally arrived at the Divine Bridge Divine Treasure. He stood upon the Primogenitor Human Emperor's Divine Bridge. The bridge shone with rainbow radiance, and beneath it the divine treasures lay stacked and interlocked: the Five Luminaries and Seven Stars, the Six Harmonies and Heaven and Man; and below the Six Harmonies lay the pitch-black Youdu, where the Life and Death Divine Treasure was. Shen Mu steadied himself and walked along the bridge toward its far end, where the Primogenitor's Heavenly Palace lay.
When he reached the middle of the bridge he could not help but start: the Primogenitor Human Emperor's Divine Bridge was wholly connected, unbroken!
The divine bridges of Jingping Kingdom's divine-ability practitioners were all broken. Even with the Magpie Bridge Art, the Mystic Guidance Art, and the Divine Crossing Art, a portion of the bridge remained unjoined, and so in the end one had to use the Divine Crossing Art to fly across and reach the far shore. But the Primogenitor's bridge was joined completely, unbroken.
"Of course. He is like me, born of the Kaihuang bloodline. Our divine bridges were never severed. " Shen Mu walked on, and after a long time he came to the end of the Divine Bridge.
He raised his head.
The Southern Heavenly Gate towered amid drifting clouds and mist, majestic and vast, steeped in the weariness of ages. This Southern Heavenly Gate was the portal of the Heavenly Palace.
The clouds around it spontaneously formed the shapes of runes, ram horns, kui dragons, Vermilion Birds, Black Tortoises, phoenixes, along with wondrous cloud patterns of thunder and wind. A single gate brought Shen Mu an unmatched pressure, heavy beyond measure. To enter this portal, if one could not withstand it, one's primordial spirit would scatter!
Shen Mu steadied his mind, took out the Taotie Sack, rummaged about, and drew from it two jade eyes.
The Taiyin Jade Eye and the Taiyang Jade Eye. Shen Mu pondered a moment, then abruptly gritted his teeth and roused the Myriad Gods Natural Art, attempting to bestow sentience upon the two jade eyes!
His attainment in the Myriad Gods Natural Art was not high; he had only dabbled in it, and he was not sure whether the bestowal of spirit would succeed. He waited a long while, and the two jade eyes still gave no sign of life.
Shen Mu frowned slightly and was about to use the Myriad Gods Natural Art again when suddenly, with two pops, the Taiyin Jade Eye sprouted two thin legs from beneath its big eyeball, and with two more pops, two slender arms grew from the eye. It stretched lazily and cried, "I was suffocating! Brother, brother, don't keep it bottled up till you burst! " Shen Mu was dumbfounded, and then the Taiyang Jade Eye beside it began to snicker and chortle, its two long thin arms clutching its big eyeball as it rolled on the ground with laughter.
The Taiyin Jade Eye laughed itself silly too, kneeling on the ground and pounding the earth madly with its little arms: "He thought we hadn't woken up, and he was going to wake us again!
" The two big eyeballs rolled about on the ground again. Shen Mu's face darkened.
"All right, enough, stop laughing.
. .
laugh any more and I will beat you back to your original forms! " The two jade eyes hastily shut their mouths and stood up straight on their thin arms and legs.
The Taiyin Jade Eye said, "I think our legs are a bit too thin. I keep worrying they will snap. " The Taiyang Jade Eye's big eyeball drooped, trying to look at its own legs, but how could it possibly see them? Rumble. The Taiyang Jade Eye rolled away, rolling a dozen or more times before it stopped. The Taiyin Jade Eye was beside itself with glee, laughing so hard it dropped to its knees and pounded the ground!
