" Shen Mu was dumbfounded — Earth Mother actually burrowed into the earth and vanished! "Since when has Earth Mother grown so clever?
I had meant to lure her into attacking, to use her physical body to shield me from the assault of the four Heavenly Venerables. Even if it held them off but a single instant, I could escape with my life. . .
" Shen Mu blinked; beads of sweat ran down his forehead into his eyelashes. That Earth Mother had actually believed him took him utterly by surprise!

Could someone be scheming against me? " He had no sooner thought of this than, all at once, waves rose upon the Sea of Chaos!
