" Another schoolmaster said, "In my third life I had not yet time to attain the Dao and cultivated only the Dao flowers of the Dao tree, when the universe perished and the great calamity erupted, and knowing I could not save myself, with the World Tree severed by another and the road to future universes cut off, I had no choice but to beseech the Master of the Miluo Palace, hiding within the Miluo Palace and by his aid surviving the calamity. " The third schoolmaster said, "The universe has four stages of formation, abiding, decay, and emptiness, your universe is still in the stage of formation and has never endured decay and emptiness, you do not know the terror of the great annihilation.
If you can aid my escape, I will impart to you the art of attaining the Dao, so that when this universe decays into emptiness you too may escape calamity.
" Shen Mu planted the Blue Heaven Banner and smiled faintly, "How about this, you impart to me the art of attaining the Dao, and hand them over to me, and I will not kill you but turn and leave. What do you say?
