Shen Mu relied on his own enlightenment, on drawing energy and nourishment from calamity after calamity of destruction and creation, to raise the Dao grade of his lotus platform.
Young Master Wuji, by contrast, must have taken another path: absorbing the Guixu lotuses of other Cosmic Epochs to form a sixteen-grade lotus platform. Yet the seal of the Master of Miro Palace prevented her from marshaling more tiers of the platform.
Otherwise, could she have summoned a sixteen-grade lotus platform, she would have broken free. Shen Mu smiled slightly. "Second Sister, are you up to it?
Your little brother is quite formidable, you know. " Young Master Wuji smiled as well. "Seventh Brother, you have not attained the Dao through chaos, so you truly are not up to it.
" Before her words had faded, Shen Mu took a step forward. As he stepped out, the bell tolled; the Chaos Sea suddenly exploded, and the Cosmic Bell swept up the chaos qi of the Chaos Sea, swelling the might of his strike!
On the Chaos Sea, he was the Seventh Young Master of Miro Palace, and he could unleash boundless power! Upon the sea, a universe was born anew amid the tolling of the bell, carrying the energy of heaven-splitting and earth-rending creation; it swept across the sea, vast and mighty, straight for Young Master Wuji!
This strike was Shen Mu's thirty-fifth heaven of the Dao realm: Hongmeng First Opens, the Dao Cleaves Heaven and Earth!

Young Master Wuji had just charged forward when she was swept back by the cosmos around her, great and small. However many miniature cosmos she annihilated, no sooner did reincarnation turn once than new universes were born.
Young Master Wuji flew into a rage and urged on her Guixu divine powers, matching Shen Mu with the Dao of birth and destruction—but she had to expend her own cultivation to sustain that birth and destruction, while Shen Mu sustained it through the Dao of reincarnation.
