Chapter 634 — The Heavenly Lord's World-Transmitting King Sutra

The Herdsman of the Wasteland Page 2 of 2

" "My cultivation method follows the heart; it has no need of so many grand principles. What I seek is words like pearls.

" Having said this, King Buddha Sakra produced a mountain of Buddhist sutras that landed with a crash before Shen Mu, saying, "These are my annotations for every pearl-like word in my cultivation method.

" Shen Mu gazed up at the mountain of books, his head swelling, and turned to look at this youthful Buddha Patriarch.

King Buddha Sakra also looked at the wall of blueprints piled before him, then turned his gaze back. Shen Mu ventured, "King Buddha, if we were to harm each other, I fear neither of us would leave the Buddha Realm alive.

" He drew a dozen or so pages from the wall of blueprints, saying, "This is the main body of the spirit-energy translocation bridge. If you refine the main body, I can imprint the rune marks together with you, which will make things much simpler.

" King Buddha Sakra laughed heartily, flicked his sleeve, and the mountain of books vanished.

He took out a string of Buddhist prayer beads and hung them around Shen Mu's neck, laughing. "If you were to read these sutras, it would take you decades to finish and comprehend them.

But in my daily cultivation I refined this string of prayer beads, forged from my wisdom. Wear it around your neck and you will be able to understand the Indra Heaven King Sutra without needing to read these sutras. " Shen Mu breathed a sigh of relief, and the two looked at each other and burst out laughing. Wearing the prayer beads, Shen Mu looked again at the thin booklet of the Indra Heaven King Sutra, and saw that each Sanskrit character, the moment it entered his eyes, transformed into incomparably complex information surging into his mind.

The information contained in each single character was as vast as the dragon language of the True Dragon Lair — an enormous quantity of information!

The cultivation method in the Indra Heaven King Sutra, compared with the Ancestral Dragon Supreme Mystery Art of the True Dragon Lair, was inferior by a margin or two, but it was by no means ordinary — it was an exceedingly powerful dharma-gate. This dharma-gate was extraordinarily remarkable in the tempering of the primal spirit and the refinement of wisdom! And its methods of physical combat were even more outstanding!

The Ancestral Dragon Supreme Mystery Art was a cultivation method of the Imperial Throne tier; the Indra Heaven King Sutra, inferior by a margin or two, was a cultivation method of the Lingxiao tier. However, because the Ancestral Dragon Supreme Mystery Art was a dragon clan method, it was of little use to Shen Mu, whereas the Indra Heaven King Sutra was of no small use indeed!

Most crucially, this cultivation method was, as King Buddha Sakra had said, easy to grasp, valiant and swift in advance, yielding twice the result with half the effort in cultivation, and its rate of improvement was extremely fast!

Shen Mu studied it for a while, his Wisdom Bead spinning ceaselessly, and very quickly he mastered the general principles of the Indra Heaven King Sutra's cultivation method.

He immediately set it in motion, and gradually a halo of light emerged behind his head, slowly rotating. He then felt various Buddhist dharma runes ceaselessly imprinting themselves into his flesh and blood, into his bones, into his sacred repositories, into his primal spirit, causing his physical body and primal spirit to rise without cease. Moreover, this cultivation method, combined with the Ancestral Dragon Eight Tones, made the elevation of his physical body and primal spirit even faster and more powerful!

What was even more wondrous was that he could distinctly perceive each of his own thoughts; those stray thoughts seemed to become tiny beads, flowing ceaselessly through his mind, enabling him to make clear judgments of merit and demerit. "If I were to cultivate step by step, in perhaps a few decades I could become a Buddha and a patriarch.

But I do not wish to be a monk. The Indra Heaven King Sutra can only be drawn upon for its useful parts; I will choose the best of it and merge it into my Mystic Body Three Elixirs Art!

" Shen Mu thought. After half a day, the many Buddha-realms of the Indra Heaven Realm sent the materials required for the spirit-energy translocation bridge.

King Buddha Sakra waved his hand, and countless jade stones floated into the air, were cut and polished smooth in midair, and the jade stones stacked together, quickly constructing a large altar.

King Buddha Sakra then swiftly refined the various components, forging them directly into shape to form the main body of the spirit-energy translocation bridge. Shen Mu was in the midst of studying and delving into how to merge the Indra Heaven King Sutra into his Mystic Body Three Elixirs Art when he inadvertently saw this scene.

His body trembled slightly, and he stared blankly at King Buddha Sakra refining treasures. "His artifact-refining methods share much in common with Grandpa Silent Artisan's artifact-refining methods, yet he could not possibly have come into contact with Grandpa Silent Artisan. Then what exactly is King Buddha Sakra's origin?

Could he be a man of the Kaihuang era? " Shen Mu stared blankly, lost in thought.

King Buddha Sakra quickly finished forging the main body, then spread his hands outward, and the jade of the altar expanded outward; the jade stones separated one by one, while the main body of the spirit-energy translocation bridge was concealed within the center of the altar, and the jade stones closed up again.

From the outside it was simply an altar; nothing within could be seen. King Buddha Sakra finished constructing the main body and turned to look; seeing Shen Mu watching him, he could not help but laugh.

"What are you looking at me for? " "Nothing.

" Shen Mu shook his head and stepped forward to help him imprint the spirit-energy translocation runes. Casually he asked, "King Buddha, what was your surname in the past? " King Buddha Sakra stopped the work in his hands, was silent for a moment, then smiled brightly and said, "I don't remember.

"
