Chapter 475 — Xiaolu's Idea
And once Liu Huamei had kissed Yang Ce, she had no idea what to do next. She had acted purely on impulse, and she had no experience of this sort of thing at all! Yang Ce, for his part, made no move of his own, so she could only fumble about blindly.
Thinking of the scenes she had seen in television dramas, Liu Huamei copied them, imitating the heroes and heroines by nibbling at Yang Ce's face, but the likeness was only in form, not in spirit; the substance was entirely different. Television dramas have their share of contrived acting in them, so once Liu Huamei imitated it, it went even more awry.
Yang Ce was amused by her clumsy, ignorant fumbling. "Are you trying to eat me alive?"
"I... I am going to eat you alive!" Liu Huamei had misunderstood him. What Yang Ce meant by eating was that her present actions were no different from gnawing on him as though he were food, while Liu Huamei knew the other meaning of the word "eat" and assumed that was what he meant. Add to that her nerves, which left her in no state to parse the distinction, and the notion that Yang Ce liked a woman to take the lead, and so she nodded and owned to it.
Seeing Yang Ce smile, Liu Huamei assumed he was pleased that she had taken the initiative, and so she threw herself into it with redoubled effort.
Yang Ce, meanwhile, was the one who suffered. Liu Huamei left him unable to breathe, and he had no notion what the girl was about. Gasping for air, he finally could bear it no longer and pushed her down onto the bed, and only then did he breathe easy.
When Liu Huamei felt Yang Ce push her onto the bed, she thought her exertions had stirred his desire, and she breathed a sigh of relief and secretly rejoiced: she truly was a natural, needing no teacher. A few random kisses, and she had set Yang Ce's blood aflame!
But more than anything she was nervous! This was the first time Liu Huamei had ever faced such a thing, and though she had prepared herself, nervousness was instinct. She shut her eyes and waited for the one thing every woman must go through in her life...
But she waited and waited, and Yang Ce did not pounce. Liu Huamei was rather puzzled. What on earth was going on? Why had Yang Ce not come? Yet she lacked the courage to open her eyes and look. She had used up every ounce of courage she had a moment ago, and now she was as shy and flustered as any ordinary young girl.
Yang Ce had finally caught his breath. The girl was pretty enough, but did she have to smother him like that? He had nearly choked to death on her! When he raised his eyes to the bed, he saw that Liu Huamei was lying there perfectly still, her eyes closed.
Yang Ce was somewhat puzzled. What was Liu Huamei doing? Had he pushed her too hard just now and knocked her senseless?
"Liu Huamei?" Yang Ce ventured. Yet his eyes could not keep from straying over her flawless body, especially those proud, high peaks, which held his gaze and would not let it go...
Liu Huamei had waited a long while and Yang Ce had not pounced, and she was just wondering why when she heard him call her name. She opened her eyes and saw him staring at her with plain desire in his eyes, and at once she was embarrassed. She shot him a coy, reproachful look. "What... what are you looking at me for? Why don't you come up?"
What Liu Huamei said was a little contradictory: the first half demanded to know why he was looking at her, and the second half was actually asking why he did not get on with it. Was Liu Huamei seducing him, or reproaching him?
Yang Ce could only smile bitterly. Even if his self-control was rather good, this was no way to tempt a man.
"Liu Huamei, put your clothes on first, and then tell me about your business." Yang Ce shook his head and turned his gaze elsewhere. If he kept looking, he would not be able to hold himself back.
"I... I... you don't want to help me anymore?" Seeing his attitude, Liu Huamei was at once disappointed. To her mind, Yang Ce's refusal to have her was out of caution; otherwise, what fool would pass up such an easy bargain?
Only someone like Yang Ce, who thought his own affairs too complicated, would hesitate. But that also showed that Yang Ce was an upright man, not the sort who knew only how to take advantage.
"It isn't that I don't want to help you. It's that in this state, how am I supposed to help you? Do you think that by giving me your body you can buy my help?" Yang Ce frowned, at a loss as to how Liu Huamei had suddenly hit on such an idea.
Still, when a person is driven into a corner, it is hard to avoid bold actions that go beyond all reason. Yang Ce was puzzled, but he could understand it well enough.
"Isn't that so?" Liu Huamei had thrown caution to the winds. Before Yang Ce she neither flinched nor hid. She had already decided to become his woman, and she had no intention of ever marrying anyone else, so she cast aside her shyness and sat there on the bed, letting her body be exposed to his eyes. "My body is all I have to offer. This afternoon you were right: all those partnership benefits I promised were empty and insubstantial. Before there is success, there is nothing at all..."
"But have you thought, in doing this, whether you are being fair to Jing Yu? She still wants to help you, and she still speaks well of you in front of me," said Yang Ce. "You had better put your clothes on now, or when Xiaolu comes in, I'm afraid she won't let me help you."
"So it's Xiaolu you're worried about... You do have more conscience than other men..." Hearing his words, Liu Huamei could not help laughing. "But set your mind at ease. It was Xiaolu who taught me to do this..."
"What? Xiaolu taught you?" Yang Ce's eyes went wide, and only then did it strike him that the room he had entered a moment ago was indeed Jing Yu's! He had thought he had come to the wrong room, but now, on reflection, he had used the key card to Jing Yu's room; how could it have opened anyone else's?
So all of this had been arranged by Jing Yu! No wonder she had deliberately posted Secretary Li downstairs and given him a key card to let himself into the room. The person in the room was Liu Huamei, not Jing Yu!
Yet once Yang Ce knew the truth, he did not blame Jing Yu; he only thought her a little reckless. Still, her conduct deserved praise. To make such a sacrifice for a friend, she must surely have paid a great price in her heart.
Liu Huamei nodded. "Are you reassured now? Otherwise, how could I possibly be in Xiaolu's room? Come on!"
