Chapter 1047 — The Vast Cosmic Star Map

" Yan'er fed him candied fruit that the East Emperor had given, and Shen Mu opened his mouth and ate without thinking, murmuring: "Whether the Four Pole Heavens, the Yuan World, or the Heavenly Court, none of them is a small place. What connection is there between the vanishing of these places and the vanishing of the Ancestral Court? " Long Qilin suddenly said: "Cult Master, do you still remember the Desolate Ruins?

" Shen Mu was slightly startled.

Long Qilin went on: "Cult Master, did you not once discover that at the source of the Surging River in the Desolate Ruins, four or five layers of space were stacked together? Later, when the seal on the Yuan World was broken, those stacked spaces unfolded and became the Yuan World of today. Is it possible that the means by which the Yuan World was sealed is similar to the means by which the Ancestral Court was sealed? " Shen Mu pondered for a moment: "Fat Dragon, go on.

" Yan'er hopped over to Long Qilin's side and held the Eastern Pole Heaven candied fruit to his mouth, looking encouraging.

Long Qilin continued: "Is it possible that the reverse sides of the Four Pole Heavens, the Heavenly Court, the Yuan World, Xuandu, and Youdu all still exist, but that the ancient gods, with immense divine power, stacked these reverse sides together to form a three-dimensional spatial seal like the one that sealed the Other Shore Ark, locking the Ancestral Court inside?

" Shen Mu's eyes lit up, and he clapped his hands in praise: "Fat Dragon, you truly have great wisdom! " Long Qilin was smug, eating the candied fruit Yan'er brought him; Yan'er was so attentive that she had even tucked spirit pills inside the fruit, which moved him deeply. Shen Mu stood up and clapped his hands: "It is indeed possible! Divine abilities are all passed down in one lineage.

The ability used to seal the Yuan World, to seal the Other Shore Ark, may not be the same as the one used to seal the Ancestral Court, but there may well be an inheritance among them!

" He clasped his hands together and drew them apart, and at once the layout of the Longhan Heavenly Court, the Yuan World, Youdu, Xuandu, and the Four Pole Heavens, even the Tianyin World and Guixu, all appeared, forming an unrolled three-dimensional star map of the great cosmos! The Yuan World lay at the center; Youdu overlapped with the Yuan World and connected to the Four Poles; Xuandu towered above the Yuan World.

Shen Mu looked at the Four Pole Heavens and mused for a moment: "The Heavenly River connects the Four Pole Heavens and the Heavenly Court, yet they do not lie on the same plane. And Guixu, Guixu is not in the Yuan World either, but in another space-time. When I found Guixu, I relied on the spatial arts left by my eldest senior brother, Wei Suifeng.

His spatial arts recorded another spatial dimension. . .

" He paced around the star map of the great cosmos, his eyes fixed on it, calculating ceaselessly. Suddenly he reached out a hand and gently pulled the star map downward, and a funnel-shaped abyss of Guixu appeared beneath the Yuan World. Shen Mu's eyes flickered, and he said softly: "Youdu does not entirely overlap with the Yuan World either. On the contrary, Youdu also connects to the Four Pole Heavens and to all manner of other heavens. The only one it does not connect to is Xuandu. That is to say, Xuandu and Youdu interlock to form a great circle!

" He expanded the territory of Youdu; at a thought, his vital essence transformed into a Lord Earth, who stood within Youdu, his body vast, the Yellow Springs above his head.

Shen Mu frowned and looked at the continent beneath Lord Earth's feet, and saw that the land actually overlapped with the great abyss of Guixu. He could not help but be stunned.

"According to legend, the Heavenly River flows into the great abyss of Guixu. Yet legend never said that the great abyss of Guixu lies beneath Lord Earth's feet, nor that the Heavenly River passes through Youdu. But what if the Heavenly River does pass through Youdu? " Shen Mu's eyes grew brighter and brighter.

He adjusted the Heavenly River, drawing its waters to pierce through the two realms of the Yuan World and Youdu; since these two realms overlapped in space, the Heavenly River did not need to cross the Yuan World's continent to reach Youdu, but entered another space instead. The Heavenly River became the River of the Underworld, mighty and vast, flowing around Lord Earth's magnificent body.

Shen Mu was dumbstruck, and gazing at Lord Earth's palm, he could not speak.

Lord Earth's weapon was a whip.

He had once seen Lord Earth use that whip to bind Tian Shu, and the Heavenly River, turned to the River of the Underworld, flowed into Youdu and ran exactly across Lord Earth's palm! The River of the Underworld was the whip in Lord Earth's hand! "No wonder every time I went to Youdu I always felt that something was missing from Lord Earth.

It was the River of the Underworld whip! " Shen Mu steadied himself and adjusted the River of the Underworld, and saw that it flowed precisely into Guixu. "There is still one thing that does not fit!

" Shen Mu raised his head and looked at Xuandu, then at the Four Pole Heavens: "The height of the Four Pole Heavens is wrong!

The Four Pole Heavens should be higher than the Yuan World and a little lower than the Heavenly Court, and the Heavenly River should also flow through Xuandu.

Yet it does not pass through Xuandu; rather it runs as the Heavenly River, like an enormous ring of rope, the ring drooping down, hanging into Youdu. .

.

" He calculated madly; after a moment he reached out and lightly drew a line, and laughed: "The waters of the Heavenly River come from the heavens, so of course they come from Xuandu!

" From Xuandu a Heavenly River came rushing down, altering the original course of the Heavenly River, so that it now came from the heavens, flowed into the Northern Pole Heaven, and from the Northern Pole Heaven through the Western Pole Heaven, the Southern Pole Heaven, and the Eastern Pole Heaven, and from the Eastern Pole Heaven on to the Heavenly Court.

After reaching the Heavenly Court, the Heavenly River descended from the sky and flowed toward the Yuan World; since the Yuan World overlapped with Youdu, the Heavenly River then became the River of the Underworld, pouring into Youdu, and at last into Guixu beneath Lord Earth's feet!

Shen Mu studied the star map of the great cosmos, pacing back and forth. If one calculated according to the star map, the Four Pole Heavens ought to stand upright relative to the Yuan World, perpendicular to it, and with their backs to it. He reached out and drew line after line, connecting the various worlds, yet he could not make them all converge at a single point. Shen Mu's brow furrowed tightly, then his eyes suddenly lit up, and he said softly: "The original Longhan Heavenly Court was not in its present position, but in the sky above the Yuan World.

Then, if the Heavenly Court is moved downward. .

. " He moved the Heavenly Court in the star map toward the Yuan World, suspending it above the Yuan World. From outside the chariot came the voice of the Heavenly Dragon, raised high: "Heavenly Worthy, the Wu Kingdom is here!

" Shen Mu paid no heed, slowly adjusting the position of the Heavenly Court, when suddenly his heart and spirit were violently shaken. All the lines had at last woven together, forming a single spot of light!

Shen Mu wept for joy, tears falling despite himself, and murmured: "Here, here is the Ancestral Court, the place where the Creator's Ancestral Court lies! Learning the arts of calculation well truly has its great uses!

"
