Chapter 1101 — The Divine Beast Releases First to Catch

Crown Prince Youming hastily caught his hand and laughed. "My good brother, cousin! Even if you wanted to go back, you could not! The Vermilion Bird Heavenly Palace and the Azure Dragon Heavenly Palace have already flown out of the Heavenly Court — where would you go? We of the Four Imperial Emperors' line are of one breath and one branch, friends for generations. Help me return to the Northern Pole Heaven, and when the time comes I will escort you back myself!"

He said sheepishly, "Leading troops in battle is not my strength, and I am a little short on brains besides. When the armies attack, I will need Brother Long to help me marshal the disciples in the palace and draw up our battle lines."

Long Qilin hesitated.

Crown Prince Youming said, "You do not believe me? Come with me!"

He led them to the gate of the heavenly palace and pointed into the distance. "Look!"

Long Qilin and Yan'er looked toward the Heavenly Court, and saw one vast heavenly palace after another, each bearing a thousand halls and ten thousand chambers, already sailing away from the Heavenly Court!

Besides the heavenly palaces of the Southern, Western, and Eastern Emperors, several other palaces of grand scale were also departing the Heavenly Court — most likely those of the Lord of Heaven, Mother Earth, and the Lord of the Soil.

— And now, with these heavenly palaces gone from pressing it down, the Heavenly Court itself was slowly drifting upward, threatening to float clear out of the Primal Realm!

Beyond that, they saw gods and men flying to and fro throughout the Heavenly Court, relaying orders, and one army of gods and demons after another pouring out of the Heavenly Court in pursuit of the departing palaces.

Long Qilin's face went pale. He stamped his foot. "Elder brother, you have ruined us!"

Crown Prince Youming smiled apologetically again and again. "I know it was wrong of me. But we are not without a chance of victory. Before my father and mother left, they gave me the Lapis Lazuli Azure Heaven Banner to guard the heavenly palace. That treasure is truly remarkable — the Emperor of Heaven himself honored it as the foremost treasure under heaven! With it in hand, and with the wisdom of my good brother and cousin, we are certain to turn misfortune into fortune!"

Long Qilin groaned. "One treasure, and you think it can hold back the armies of the Heavenly Court? Elder brother, you had better abandon the Black Tortoise Heavenly Palace and take the treasure and run while you can."

Crown Prince Youming drew them toward the Lingxiao Hall of the Black Tortoise Heavenly Palace, laughing. "That is only because you have not seen the Lapis Lazuli Azure Heaven Banner. Once you see it, you will surely set your hearts at ease!"
