Chapter 1261 — Heavily Wounding a Formidable Foe

The sole weakness of the Lapis Lazuli Azure Heaven Banner had been discovered by the Heavenly Master Yue Tingge: the central celestial sphere — break the formation from the sphere, drive in a wedge to pin the revolution of the heavens, and the Lapis Lazuli Azure Heaven Banner could be broken. And now, that weakness was gone as well!

He sank into an endless, inexhaustible struggle to break the formation. How long passed, he did not know. Shang Pingyin's face turned deathly pale; suddenly he vomited a mouthful of blood, his complexion turning sallow as wax, yet still he stared fixedly at the twenty-eight-heaven formation, deducing madly.

Tens of days passed, and still he could not emerge from the formation; his breath grew weaker and weaker. Another half year passed.

Shang Pingyin was gaunt and withered, at the point of death. When the Fire Tianzun received the news, he came at once and with a wave of his hand crushed the vital-essence formation Shen Mu had left behind. Yet still Shang Pingyin could not walk out of the formation; the twenty-eight-heaven formation Shen Mu had left was already deeply branded into his mind, ineradicable.

The Fire Tianzun looked at Shang Pingyin, who exhausted his wisdom and kept spitting blood, and frowned deeply.

He said coldly, "Mu Tianzun has ruined one of my great generals!

" "This is not Mu Tianzun's fault. . .

" Shang Pingyin clutched the hem of his robe, his breath like a thread.

"He meant well by me, letting me see Longshan Sanren's formation in advance.

I will pull myself together. . . "
