"So you're one of those people!" Tang Lingtou gave a cold laugh, deliberately pretending not to know Wei Zhao's identity. In a flat voice, he said, "You are not welcome here. Tang Yun and I are discussing a private matter of the Hidden Tang Family. As an outsider, show some restraint and do not meddle in our affairs!"

The moment Tang Lingtou saw You Panhu leap forward, he knew things were going badly. He seemed to have guessed what You Panhu was thinking, but he also had no wish to offend the Ice Palace Master, whom he had worked so hard to win over. Thus, all he could do was thunder at Wei Zhao with a show of force that amounted to little more than empty bluster.

"An outsider? I think you are the outsider here." Wei Zhao spoke calmly. "Tang Yun has never acknowledged you as her father. We came here simply to tell you that we are taking Aunt Xiaoming away. Nothing more."

"And who are you to Tang Yun, that you dare say such things?" Tang Lingtou suddenly noticed Wei Zhao holding Tang Yun's hand, and realization dawned on him. So this brat and Tang Yun really had something going on. No wonder he was rushing to stick his neck out now!

He wanted to drive a wedge between Wei Zhao and Bingtang and Feng Xiaoxiao, isolating Wei Zhao completely.

"Tang Yun has always been my girlfriend." Wei Zhao glanced at You Panhu and said calmly, "Is there a problem?"

Aren't you the boyfriend of the Ice Palace Master's junior sister? Have you fallen for someone else, or are you cheating on her?"

His question was clearly meant to provoke, but the hatred between You Panhu and Wei Zhao had long since become irreconcilable. You Panhu was eager to make the matter as explosive as possible, so he deliberately goaded Feng Xiaoxiao and Bingtang, waiting to see how they would respond.

"Both of them. Is that not allowed?" Wei Zhao looked at You Panhu as though he were an idiot. "With an IQ like yours, you might as well stop thinking altogether. Go keep that blue-haired fool company. Being an idiot suits you just fine!"

"You..." Wei Zhao's words startled You Panhu so badly that he instinctively retreated two steps, trying to put some distance between them. He had not realized that he was already standing at the edge of the raised platform. As a result, his backward step sent him tumbling straight off it, and he landed hard on his backside.

Though he was a cultivator, taking such a fall without the slightest preparation was still excruciating. Grimacing in pain, he needed quite some time before he managed to scramble back to his feet.

You Panhu's mishap drew involuntary laughter from the guests. Tang Lingtou frowned and cursed his nephew inwardly for an idiot. Their side clearly held the advantage, yet now, thanks to that fall, everyone's attention had been drawn to You Panhu, while the pressure on the Ice Palace Master and Feng Xiaoxiao had eased considerably!

"Both of them? Do you really think we will believe that? Think about who Miss Feng Xiaoxiao is: the future master of the Ice Palace. How could she possibly share one man with another woman? That joke is not funny in the slightest!" Tang Lingtou steered the conversation back to the subject.

"Believe it or don't. What is wrong with you, you old fool? I'm the junior wife, and Sister Tang Yun is the principal wife. What is so difficult to understand? Is it because you have taken so many wives yourself that you cannot understand?" Feng Xiaoxiao could not hold herself back any longer. She rose to her feet and spoke out.

"Huh?" Tang Lingtou stared at Feng Xiaoxiao in utter astonishment as she suddenly stood up. He had expected her to rise and speak, certainly, but he had assumed that she would fly into a rage, drag Wei Zhao back, and stop him from "making a fool of himself." He had never imagined that she would openly support him instead!

Tang Lingtou could never have guessed that Feng Xiaoxiao, the future master of the Ice Palace, was actually Wei Zhao's junior wife. What kind of absurd logic was this?

"Ice Palace Master, it seems that the people of your Ice Palace are sorely lacking in manners. However you look at it, this is a matter of the Hidden Tang Family. The Profound Elixir Sect's envoy nearly exploded at Feng Xiaoxiao's words. He had swallowed his anger after Bingtang slapped him, daring neither to complain nor retaliate, but he was not afraid of Feng Xiaoxiao! She might be the future master of the Ice Palace, but she was not its master yet.

Besides, the Profound Elixir Sect envoy's status was far from low. He was the sect master's junior fellow disciple and direct disciple, which in theory meant that he would one day become an elder of the Profound Elixir Sect.
