" Shen Mu's heart lurched. From the whole of the Great Abyss of Guixu, a flood surged upward from below, bursting outward at an unimaginably terrifying speed.
So powerful was the flood that it shattered the sky outright!
Earlier they had seen light within Guixu, yet the flood that burst from the Great Abyss of Guixu was dark and sunken, without the slightest gleam!
This Great Abyss of Guixu was like the mouth of an immense monster that, having devoured a planet, gave a great belch! There was no color at all in the sky.
It had been dim here to begin with, and now it grew darker still, with no light of sun or sky.
The seawater beyond Guixu turned blacker yet. The sky seemed to melt away under the spray of the dark currents, and a rain of ash began to drift down.
Those black, flake-like things looked like the traces left when the sky was burned to ash; they dissolved the moment they fell into one's hand, vanishing like smoke.
"This is not the ash of the sky, but the ash of that planet just now. .
. " Shen Mu looked up at the surging dark flood and nearly cursed aloud: "This cursed place is no place for the living!
The Great Abyss of Guixu refines planets with ease; who could ever enter it? Senior Brother, you hid your things too well!
" Just then, the surging dark current gradually slowed, and the light rose higher and higher from within Guixu; it was clearly the firelight from before the dark current had burst forth. Shen Mu was stunned. The darkness hung almost motionless in the air, like a dark Milky Way flowing with extreme slowness.
And within the dark current, the light drew nearer and nearer. At last, the light appeared before them.
It was a flower, an immense flower.
It was a single plant, yet two blossoms grew together upon it, like two lotuses growing from a shared stem, one to the left and one to the right. One was the color of cinnabar, the other the color of darkness; the black blossom, mingled in the black current, was almost impossible to see. Shen Mu's heart stirred slightly, and suddenly he laughed aloud: "So that is it!
Our senior brother was clever indeed! Now that Guixu is calm and there is no gravity at all, one can enter the flowers and pass through these two blossoms into the abyss to obtain what he left behind!
" "Cult Leader, are you certain you want to go in?
" Dragon Qilin was somewhat unnerved.
Shen Mu had already stepped into the dark Milky Way and was flying toward the two great flowers.
Yan'er stood on his shoulder and looked back, saying, "Fat Dragon, hurry up! " Dragon Qilin did not want to go in, but he looked around and saw only gloom and darkness, and faintly heard shrill and mournful cries. He could not tell whether it was the sound of the dark currents of Guixu scraping against space, or whether some monster had truly been spewed out.
He had no choice but to rush in panic into the dark Milky Way and follow Shen Mu. "Cult Leader, what if these two flowers shrink back into the abyss? Won't we be trapped in there to die?
" he whispered.
Just then, the two great flowers trembled slightly, and the dark Milky Way began to flow backward! Shen Mu shot him a vicious glare and sped toward the two great flowers!
"Fat Dragon, were you a crow in your past life? " Yan'er asked curiously.
