She rose abruptly, full of killing intent, and said coldly, "It is time to settle the grudge between us! Today you must die here!"
Yun Chuxiu laughed with a titter. "You—always so prim and proper, not a bit of fun. No wonder my brother-in-law crawled into my bed. You are fit to be Her Highness the Empress; I am better suited to being the little sweetheart."
Lian Huahun was furious. She was about to strike when Yun Chuxiu said hastily, "Do you know where your body is?"
Lian Huahun halted and said coldly, "You stole my body, and you are on the best of terms with Heavenly Sovereign Ling. Naturally my body is aboard Heavenly Sovereign Ling's ghost ship."
Yun Chuxiu flicked her sleeve and said with a grin, "Do you want it back?"
Lian Huahun's gaze settled on her face, seeking to see whether she was in earnest.
Yun Chuxiu laughed. "The Yunluo Emperor, Wei Suifeng, has already been delivered to the ghost ship. You should understand by now just who is trying to find your body. Earth Mother Yuanjun is dead but not gone—could my brother-in-law truly have died so easily?"
Lian Huahun's delicate body quaked. She ground her teeth. "What does that adulterous wretch want with my body?"
Yun Chuxiu giggled. "Certainly not to make sweet love with you. You and I are sisters, born of the same root, come from the same source. You cannot deal with my brother-in-law alone, and neither can I stand against him by myself. Why not join hands? I will help you win back your body, and you will help me win back mine. What does my elder sister say?"
Lian Huahun pondered a moment, then probed, "Where is your body?"
Yun Chuxiu smiled faintly, a beauty to overthrow a city, a kingdom. "Naturally, in the hands of that little sweetheart of mine, Shen Mu."
