The three in the carriage were startled, not grasping his meaning, when Dragon Qilin had already driven the treasure chariot straight through the world barrier between Youdu and the Yuan World and into pitch-dark Youdu. This Heavenly Dragon Treasure Chariot was a rare treasure from a million years later that could shuttle between Youdu and the living world. Years ago, to dodge the divine consciousness the Tai Emperor cast down from the Ultimate Void, Shen Mu had used it once, with Langwan, Shujun and the others in the carriage. Shen Mu gazed at the boundless darkness outside the window, his face shifting between light and shadow.
He had not chosen to leave the Yuan World by the Heavenly River but by Youdu, in order to shake off the Heavenly River Navy and the Nanluo Sect army tracking them. Luo Xiao thought those two armies had come to hunt Hong and Gu Xiao, yet Shen Mu knew those two forces were their men.
It was no hunt at all, but a slaughter of the Creators of Taixu!
Gu Xiao coughed and reminded Shen Mu, "Brother Mu Qing, so far as I know, Tu Bo has a feud with the Creators.
" Luo Xiao grew most anxious and looked toward Shen Mu. Hong sighed, "It will not be easy for Brother Mu Qing to shake off the Nanluo Sect and the Heavenly River Navy.
The Heavenly River pierces all worlds and becomes the Nether River in Youdu. The Nether River winds all the way around Tu Bo and falls into Guixu. I fear the Heavenly River Navy and the Nanluo Sect will pursue us up the Nether River.
" Shen Mu opened the window and leaned out to gaze afar, and indeed he saw the Heavenly River as it was before it was severed.
The Heavenly River flowed from the void of the Yuan World into Youdu and became the Nether River, streaming down around Tu Bo's towering body. The Nether River was grasped in Tu Bo's hand like a winding long whip, ending at last beneath Tu Bo's feet.
In the distance, several paper boats hung with lanterns were sailing this way. It must be that You Tianzun had sensed intruders in Youdu and sent split bodies to inspect, only his cultivation was still weak and he could not catch the Heavenly Dragon Treasure Chariot.

Shen Mu feared for You Tianzun's safety and at once ordered Dragon Qilin to leave at full speed, for after all two giants of dreadful origin sat in the carriage.
The Heavenly Dragon Treasure Chariot sped. Gazing far, Shen Mu indeed saw warship after warship appear at the source of the Nether River, for the Heavenly River Navy and the Nanluo Sect had already sailed into Youdu! Shen Mu sliced with his hand, and a Chengtian Gate appeared before the chariot.
The chariot rushed into the gate and, when it appeared again, had come to the outside of the Yuan World.
"How vast Tu Bo truly is.
" Shen Mu praised him, then humbly asked, "My three elder brothers, do you know the origin of the ancient gods?
I have seen many ancient gods, strong and weak, and I am curious about them. " Gu Xiao laughed, "I am human.
How would I know the origin of these ancient beings?
" Hong laughed, "I heard the ancient gods were weapons created by the Creators. The ancient gods rebelled and wiped out the Creator race, then proclaimed abroad that they were born of the great dao of heaven and earth, hiding their own inglorious past.
" Luo Xiao shook his head, "It is not wholly so. By the lore handed down in my Creator race, the ancient gods' origins are in truth of four kinds.
One is egg-born, one is Dao-born, one is sacrifice-born, and one is heaven-and-earth-born. " Shen Mu's interest was kindled at once, saying, "Such origins?
Elder brother might as well speak of them in detail.
"
